Happy Fall Y'all and Pumpkin Hunt!!!

 Today Carly's dad was our WDD!!!!!!  He played in centers with us this morning and then had lunch he will be coming back later this afternoon for our Happy Fall Y'all festivities!!!!  He said he had never felt so popular HA!!!

 

 These cuties came to school dressed in the cutest Halloween outfits!!!!!  SO CUTE!!!

 

 We went on a PUMPKIN HUNT and everyone found a baby pumpkin......who says you only hunt EGGS!!!!  We will be painting these pumpkins at our party!!!

 

Speaking of party....my friend Julie painted this owl for me last year because her daughter was in our class and she was my room mom.  I asked her if I could borrow it this year for a game and of course she said yes!!!!!  Thanks JULES!!!!!! XOXO!!!!

Hoot of the Week ...NATHAN!!!! and LOTS of HAPPY HOOTS

 Nathan is our Hoot this week!!!  He loves baseball and playing with his transformers.  He also love to go to Larry's Pizza with his family!  Nathan is 4 years old.  He loves to play with his friends at school.  He has the cutest little accent!  We love having Nathan in our classroom.  He is very happy about being the HOOT this week!!!

 

Today during lunch Mrs. Shaide moved all of these little hoots up to BLUE/HAPPY HOOT!!!!

I was so excited to have so many of my friends doing the right thing during lunch!!!!!  WOOOOOHOOOO keep it up!!!!!

Yesterday I was out because I had to attend one of my dear friends father's funeral.  I hated to miss but sometimes you just have to be with your friends and give them comfort!!!  I heard that the kids did great so I was very proud!!!!!

 



Green Goblin Goo!!!!

 Look Vanna got Glasses!!!!!!  We think she looks so cute!!!!

 

Today we made Green Goblin GOO to celebrate the letter Gg!!!!!  It was so much fun!!!  Everyone is getting to take some home today if they stayed on Green or Blue!!!!!!

 

Recipe:

1 cup of water and 1 tsp of Borax....(mix together)

1/2 cup of water and 1 4oz bottle of glue (mix together and add food coloring and glitter)

 

Pour the borax mixture into the glue mixture and stir!!!!!!

 

Pour out left over water!

 

Simple as that and so much fun!!!

A "HAPPY" and giving Drugs the Boot!!!

 Carly and her mom got me this extremely cute "happy" today!!!!  Isn't that the cutest thing you have ever seen.......LOVE!!!  Thank You so much!!!!

 

 Today we have been giving drugs the BOOT!!!!!!!  Check out our boots!!!!!

 

We have also been talking a lot about pumpkins......last week we did a little pumpkin investigation and I am just now posting the pic of what we learned!!!!!

 

Today we made a list of our favorite Halloween candy!!!!  Look at all those yummy kinds of candy....to say I was drooling is an understatement!!!! HA!!!!

 

I sent home a note about the PUMPKIN PATCH and the concern for the weather!!!!!  Fingers crossed!!!!!

Glasses and Crazy Hats

Some friends wore crazy hats for us meeting our pledge goal!!!!

Major is wearing a NY Yankees hat....not really sure how I feel about that haha!!!!!

 

Today we read a really fun book called Pumpkin, Pumpkin What Do You See?  They loved being able to read along with me.  We also practiced clapping our names with syllables.  We learned that Emily, Adrian, and Ella Grace all had 3 claps in their name!!!!

PUMPKIN, PUMPKIN

 Today we did a science experiment!!!  We voted to see if a pumpkin would float or sink!!!  As you can see from the picture we had a tie 10 to 10!  We talked about what the words float and sink mean.  Then put the pumpkin in the water.....they were amazed that it was able to float!!!!  They said since it was so big if we put a little pumpkin in the water then it would sink.....guess what it was able to float, too!!!!

 

 Next up it was time to carve our pumpkin!!!  We did some pumpkin investigation!!!  They loved it and they loved feeling inside of the pumpkin!!!!

Boosterthon!!!!!

Today was BOOSTERTHON!!!!  We had so much fun I hope you got to look at the video in the post below....please ignore me in the video running....yikes...not a runner at all!!!!

Visit from the FIRETRUCK and Happy Birthday Katie

 Today we super fun!!!  We had a visit from the NLR fire department!!  We got to see the PINK firetruck this was the first time I had ever seen a pink firetruck!!!  We also received coloring books and colors!!!!  How neat is that!!!!

 

Now is a great time to talk to your children about Fire Safety!!!

 

Today is also special because Katie turned 5 today!!!!  She is such a spunky little thing....can't you tell in this pic HA!!!! 

Hoot of the week....BRYSON!!!

 Bryson is our hoot this week!!!  He is 4 years old and guess what he is a TWIN!!!!  His twin is named Bradley and he is in Mrs. Stacker's class!!!!  Bryson loves to play with Power Rangers and he likes Handy Manny!!!!  He is so sweet and kind!!  He always has the biggest smile on his face that can light up the room!  We love Bryson!!!!!

 

 Today Conner was having a blast on the iPad!!!  The kids love using my iPad during center time!  We play educational games on it!!!!

 

Below is a picture of Fenway's brothers!!!!  They are looking for their forever home.  I would love for someone to get them together!!!  They have been together since birth and they can't be separated!!!!  They are about 6 months old!  If you know someone that might want them please let me know!!  They are AKC registered Cocker Spaniels!!!  They are currently named Socks and Shoes!!!!!!
