Writing and Officer Pasman!!!

 
 Today we did our 2nd Writing Sample.....would you look at how much progress we have made!!!!!  I am amazed the kids were sounding out words and writing letters......what a great start!!!!!!  Keep up the great work hoots!!!
Also this morning we had a special treat Emily's dad, Officer Pasman came to our school to talk about being a policeman.  He works for the LRPD and the kids were so excited to hear the sirens and see the lights.  Thanks for coming to share!!!!!!

Happy Fall Y'all and Pumpkin Hunt!!!

 Today Carly's dad was our WDD!!!!!!  He played in centers with us this morning and then had lunch he will be coming back later this afternoon for our Happy Fall Y'all festivities!!!!  He said he had never felt so popular HA!!!
 
 These cuties came to school dressed in the cutest Halloween outfits!!!!!  SO CUTE!!!
 
 We went on a PUMPKIN HUNT and everyone found a baby pumpkin......who says you only hunt EGGS!!!!  We will be painting these pumpkins at our party!!!
 
Speaking of party....my friend Julie painted this owl for me last year because her daughter was in our class and she was my room mom.  I asked her if I could borrow it this year for a game and of course she said yes!!!!!  Thanks JULES!!!!!! XOXO!!!!

Hoot of the Week ...NATHAN!!!! and LOTS of HAPPY HOOTS

 Nathan is our Hoot this week!!!  He loves baseball and playing with his transformers.  He also love to go to Larry's Pizza with his family!  Nathan is 4 years old.  He loves to play with his friends at school.  He has the cutest little accent!  We love having Nathan in our classroom.  He is very happy about being the HOOT this week!!!
 
Today during lunch Mrs. Shaide moved all of these little hoots up to BLUE/HAPPY HOOT!!!!
I was so excited to have so many of my friends doing the right thing during lunch!!!!!  WOOOOOHOOOO keep it up!!!!!

Yesterday I was out because I had to attend one of my dear friends father's funeral.  I hated to miss but sometimes you just have to be with your friends and give them comfort!!!  I heard that the kids did great so I was very proud!!!!!

Green Goblin Goo!!!!




 Look Vanna got Glasses!!!!!!  We think she looks so cute!!!!
 
Today we made Green Goblin GOO to celebrate the letter Gg!!!!!  It was so much fun!!!  Everyone is getting to take some home today if they stayed on Green or Blue!!!!!!
 
Recipe:
1 cup of water and 1 tsp of Borax....(mix together)
1/2 cup of water and 1 4oz bottle of glue (mix together and add food coloring and glitter)
 
Pour the borax mixture into the glue mixture and stir!!!!!!
 
Pour out left over water!
 
Simple as that and so much fun!!!

A "HAPPY" and giving Drugs the Boot!!!

 Carly and her mom got me this extremely cute "happy" today!!!!  Isn't that the cutest thing you have ever seen.......LOVE!!!  Thank You so much!!!!
 
 Today we have been giving drugs the BOOT!!!!!!!  Check out our boots!!!!!
 
We have also been talking a lot about pumpkins......last week we did a little pumpkin investigation and I am just now posting the pic of what we learned!!!!!
 
Today we made a list of our favorite Halloween candy!!!!  Look at all those yummy kinds of candy....to say I was drooling is an understatement!!!! HA!!!!
 
I sent home a note about the PUMPKIN PATCH and the concern for the weather!!!!!  Fingers crossed!!!!!

Glasses and Crazy Hats

Today we read a really fun book called Pumpkin, Pumpkin What Do You See?  They loved being able to read along with me.  We also practiced clapping our names with syllables.  We learned that Emily, Adrian, and Ella Grace all had 3 claps in their name!!!!
