Another Watch Dog Dad!!

Today Dr. Clint Hutchinson aka Melissa's dad came to our room to the be Watch Dog Dad!  He read several books to the kids and played with them during indoor play.  They loved it!  I can see how much they loved the reading!  Thanks so much for being a WDD!!!!

What we did during SPRING BREAK!!!

Watch Dog Dad, Dr. Jason Smith

Today Dr. Jason Smith aka Clay's Dad came to our school to be the Watch Dog Dad.  Watch Dog Dad's are very important to our school and we are so glad that he came to help us today!  He even helped out in the Little Hoot Family Clinic!   Thank You!  

If You Give a Pig a Pancake......

Today we went to the Children's Theatre to see If You Give a Pig a Pancake.  It was SOOOO good!  The kids loved laughing and watching.  If you haven't seen it you need too!

Spring Break and Scooters!

We got some new scooters to play with during indoor play.  We gave them a try today!  So cute!

Spring has Sprung and the BEARS had a PARTY!!!

Today our bears woke up!  We sat outside the cave and we could hear music coming from the cave....sounded like that they were having a sock-hop in there!  We opened the door and much to our surprise the bears were awake and having a SPRING FLING!!!!  It was a great time and a wonderful reunion for the bears and their owners.....please enjoy the video!

We made green milk and had a taste....they said it tasted just like white milk!  HAHA

Collier brought this cool hat so some wanted to have their pictures made!  I had the headband and some wanted theirs made with those on.  It was a great day.  Mrs. Shaide was out and one of my great friends and fellow teacher friends at my old school was her sub.  They loved Mrs. Simmons!!!  It was fun to have her here! 

How Many Green Shamrocks???

Today we made books about how many shamrocks were on each page.  They wrote the correct number of shamrocks and practiced doing one to one correspondence.  They also read the books when we were finished...they read the sight words "I" and "SEE"!  I love to see how far they have come since the beginning of the year!  

G-R-E-E-N and Owl of the Week

We are learning about all things GREEN!  Since it is St. Patricks day we have been doing several fun things with more things yet to come!  We are learning how to spell the color word GREEN!  We even practiced writing it on the SMART board!  Clay is writing it for our class!

Jacob is our OWL this week!  He is 4 years old and has 1 brother and 1 sister.  They both go to school at Roberts!  He loves to eat at Larry's Pizza and play games.  Jacob has a best friend in our class named Paige or as he likes to call her Paige-E-Poo!

Today is Nicholas' 5th Birthday!  He is loving every second of it!

Madisen had a birthday last Thursday!  She is loving being 5 years old!

These are some AWESOME journals from today!  I was very proud of them!

Yesterday was FAT TUESDAY so we made Mardi Gras masks and got some really cool beads from our friend James Kemp!  He is from Louisiana so his mom brought us some decorations for our classroom!  It was lots of fun!  I think they might even cheer for LSU, but we don't hold that against them! HAHA!

Naina is our Owl of the week this week!  She is 5 years old!  She has a twin sister in Mrs. Jefferson's class!  Can you believe that we have 4 sets of twins just in Pre-K???  Back to Naina, she loves to play in the block center and in house keeping.  She is always dressing up in cute pretend clothes.  She loves to eat at Chick-fil-a!....We have the same interest haha!



Foot Fashion Show for Dr. Seuss' THE FOOT BOOK!!!

Today we had a Foot Fashion Show in honor of Dr. Seuss' The Foot Book!  The kids had so much fun and so did the adults.  The walked the runway and strutted their stuff!  Enjoy these pictures and the video!
