Dr. Don Roberts....You Leave a Legacy

Yesterday our dear friend and name sake passed away!  Dr. Don Roberts was an amazing man that severed in LRSD for many years!  Our school was named after him!  We have gotten the privilege to spend his last 2 birthdays with him with a school wide birthday celebration!  What an honor it will be to know that your children got to meet him!  Today we wore our ROBERTS shirts to show him how much we loved him!  He also said, "Always do the right thing" and I know we will!

Yesterday was also a fun day!  Tasty Treats came back and we all got to have a sweet treat!  YUMMY!!!!  We also got an autographed picture of the Roberts Eagle! 

Tomorrow will be my last entry for the year.....grab your tissues! HAHA!

FIELD DAY FUN!!!

Sorry for the late post but never fear FIELD DAY PICS ARE HERE!!!!  We had such an amazing time on Friday!  We played so many fun games.  The kids had a ball!  As you can see from the pictures they got to do so many activities!  I think they all had a different favorite! 

Thanks to all the parents that made it such a wonderful day!  We couldn't have done it without you!

Guest Reader....MS. APRIL

Today we had a super fun guest reader!  Alivea's mom came and read us the book the CAT AND THE HAT!  She did a wonderful job!  Thanks to everyone who has given of their time to come and read with our class this year!  WE APPRECIATE YOU!

TEACHER APPRECIATION

This week has been TEACHER APPRECIATION week!  It has been so much fun!  Monday I came to school and our door was decorated with stars and the kids had written the sweetest things!  On Tuesday I got some books and some book plates to go inside my books!  On Wednesday we had a class breakfast...IT WAS SO YUMMY!  Today I got some candy and a coupon to take a 1/2 day off on day before school gets out!  HOW WONDERFUL! 

Thanks to everyone who has made this week so special for us!  We really appreciate it!

BUSY LITTLE HOOTS

Sorry that the blog has been so empty lately....but I promise it will be full once Mother's Day Tea is over!  We have been very busy making sure that our TEA is very special! 

Yesterday we did have a special visitor!  Lilly's Grammy came to read to us!  She read us two books that used to be Lilly's dads!  How fun is that!



Assistant Principal for the day.....Miss Eleanor Adams

Our very own Eleanor got to be the Assistant Principal today!  This is a wonderful item that her parents bought at the Roberts Fundraiser this spring.  She got her very own office decorated with all of her things.  So technically she got to be my boss for the day!  HAHA!

She invited the class up to the office to see where she was working!  They LOVED IT!

Miss Adams and Mrs. Sims came to our room to do an informal evalution of our room.  Eleanor got to fill out the paperwork!  So, I bet you are wondering how I did.......

According to Miss. Adams the students were working and I was smiling, but not smiling REALLY big and the room was MESSY:(  however she stated it was because the kids were at centers!

I got a sticker!!!!

Today on the playground while all the kids were playing BO wanted to rest! HA!

Today the students from EAST got to spray paint Mrs. Anderson's hair GREEN and dress her like a box of cherrios!  Mrs. Sims got to be dressed up like a poptart!  This was because our students brought so many cereal boxes to school for the food bank!
