We have had so much fun leanring about the Presidents! Yesterday we had a dress up day! Everyone got to dress as if they were the future President! I saw Obama has some tough competition!

Figuring out some facts about Presidents!!!
Being that this week started out with Presidents day we decided to do a theme on What the President does! We started out yesterday by trying to guess where the President lives. We got several answers which were all good, but we need to take it to the SMART board to see if we were right. We know about GOOGLE and that it helps us find answers to some things, so we GOOGLED where does the President live.....several websites popped up and we went to one that told us that the President lives in the White House....just to be sure we were correct we checked out some other sites and they all said the same! We determined that the President does in fact live in the White House!
Later on the day we made a class web to see if we could guess some things that President does. We had some awesome answers! I am glad to know that President does worry about his hygiene as one child said that he does take a bath!!
Samantha is HOOT of the WEEK!!!
Samantha is our HOOT of the Week! She is 5 years old and has a twin sister in our class! She loves to read and write and play with her friends. She is very "crafty"! We are glad that she is leading us this week!
Don't forget this Thursday your child may dress like they are the future President! I can't wait to see how cute they are going to look!

What We Have Been Up To.....
First things first! ECERS is over! They came to our room yesterday and I think we did great! As a teacher it is such a relief to have this behind us. Tomorrow will be our Valentines Party!! The kids are really excited! We are having ICE CREAM SUNDAES!!!

Happy Birthday Megan!!!
Today is Megan's 5th Birthday! How neat to have your birthday on Groundhogs Day.
In other news we have been working on Graphing! I love making graphs we graph about everything in this class! Well, one of the items that I have to check to see if they know is does technology affect our way of life. So we did a graph "CAN YOU LIVE WITHOUT A CELL PHONE?" I loved seeing how some of them said no, so cute! So to follow it up I wanted to see if they felt you could live without water so we did a graph "CAN YOU LIVE WITHOUT WATER?" well apparently you can live without water and without a cell phone....who knew!?!?!?!?
